Why I Moved to Singapore (and What I’m Betting On Next)

There’s a reason the smartest capital in the world is flowing east—and it’s not just about taxes or temperature.

It’s about tempo.

Singapore doesn’t just move fast. It moves intentionally. It’s where sovereign funds think in centuries, founders think in sprints, and family offices like mine build bridges between legacy and leap.

I came here not to chase trends—but to build infrastructure for the next wave of deep tech and generational wealth creation.

🇸🇬 Why Singapore?

Because it’s where:

  • Regulation meets risk appetite.
  • Global capital meets disciplined execution.
  • East and West finally sit at the same table—without translating every sentence.

Family offices here are no longer passive stewards. They're becoming venture architects, designing ecosystems in AI, education, healthspan, and frontier tech.

And I wanted in. Not quietly. But fully.

🧭 What I’m Betting On

I’m not just writing checks. I’m building an engine.

At Regarde Ventures, we’re backing founders who:

  • Blend science with soul (AI x healthcare, HMI, deep learning)
  • Solve invisible bottlenecks (aging infrastructure, workforce re-skilling, cyber trust)
  • Build globally fluent companies from Day 1

Our thesis is simple:
Back insurgents, not incumbents.
Operate like a studio, invest like a fund, think like a sovereign.

🔮 What’s Coming

We’re quietly co-building several startups across:

  • Longevity R&D platforms
  • AI-native learning ecosystems
  • Southeast Asia fintech infrastructure
  • Human-machine interface design labs

If you’re a founder building for the long arc…
If you’re an LP tired of following crowds…
If you’re a family office looking to play offense instead of defense…

Let’s talk.
